My dear friend,
Yesterday I published a blog post (titled, “Sleepy Head …”) where I was going to begin discussing the preparations required for the conquest proper. However, before I was able to get to that subject, the Spirit of God diverted me into a much greater and more urgent subject. I am sorry if it seemed a bit strong. Please do not think that I get any satisfaction out of delivering tough messages or preaching judgment … or that I am trying to belittle you. Nevertheless, I do it out of obedience to my Lord and God, but also out of the love that I have for you.
It is all important that you understand that none of this is for my own glory. It is no mystery to me that very few people think that this endeavor is anything other than pure foolishness. I do not expect that sentiment to change anytime soon. I am nothing more than a spectacle in the eyes of most that see these posts or stumble into the Website. That is perfectly fine with me. I am more than willing to bear the shame and reproach for your sake and the sake of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am nothing more than a vessel … a messenger.
It is not important if you take me for a fool or not, because I am not the one that is important here. God, the creator of the Earth, the cosmos, and everything beyond our cosmos is giving specific place and attention to you. He is using me to send that message to you, but that is my end. I am only the messenger, and the message to you from God is that He loves you. Listen to Him, not to me.
I do not know why God wants me to give you these verses at this moment, but for some reason He wants you to have them:
“1The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; 2For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. 3Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.”
2nd John 1:1-3 KJV

Before I was diverted by the Spirit yesterday, I had stated that, “It is essential that I attain a better understanding of the finite and concrete details.” With that statement I am implying that I need a whole lot of preparation.
There is a rather small number of examples of men and women that have made these kinds of extreme conquests, and the means and methods of their exploits vary significantly. Therefore, those examples cannot be used to form a solid baseline for the purpose of forecasting anything. Unfortunately, I must establish my own baselines based on the experiences I have in my own training and prototype testing exercises. Let me set forth an example to illustrate what I mean.
When I embark from Singapore, I estimate that my boat, gear, and provisions are going to weigh in at around 400 lbs. (182 kg). The actual weight on the day that I do depart could easily be 100 lbs. (45 kg) more than that, or it might be somewhat lighter than that. As of today, 400 lbs. is my best guess. I will not be able to determine an accurate weight until I have been through, at least, two complete stages of equipment development, as well as one complete training exercise for nautical expeditions and one complete training exercise for snow and ice expeditions. That is four major stages of preparation that must be completed before I will have the slightest clue of what I am really dealing with.
Additionally, I will need to rely upon the performance measurements of these same exercises to be able to make any sensible forecasts of my optimal travel rates during the real expedition.
Some of you perusing this article may be reading this figure of 400 lbs, and you are thinking to yourself that I am completely delusional. You would be well to think so, especially if you were to see all the items on my packing list! A more rational number by today’s standards would be to start at around 800 lbs. [364 kg] and to go up from there. However, if my equipment setup were of those dimensions, this quest would most certainly not be attainable. As I mentioned in my previous post “The Difficulty of my Errand,” the specialized materials and equipment that I am developing for this conquest will enable me to drastically reduce the weight of the setup. All praise and glory to my great God and Savior Jesus Christ for showing me the patterns to make these things possible. Of course, you can expect to see details regarding these specialized materials and equipment as topics in future blog posts and videos.
As I just alluded to, there is additional preparation needed over and above these four primary stages of preparation that I already mentioned:
- Working prototypes for field testing of the critical unproven technologies
- Production prototypes of the final equipment setup
- Comprehensive training exercise for nautical expedition operations
- Comprehensive training exercise for arctic expedition operations
The working prototypes are not specimens that are refined and developed enough to provide the performance and the usability required for the real conquest. This equipment is solely for the purpose of testing the cutting-edge technologies that are being developed for this conquest. For instance, we are developing a specialized material that will be used in the construction of the boat and certain portions of the cycle frame.
The working prototype of the boat will not incorporate these materials in a manner that will significantly depend on the structural strength of these materials. The risk of doing so is too great. There are other qualities that we will be testing for, such as thermal energy transfer characteristics. In the final working model for the conquest, the entire boat will be constructed with these materials, and the structural strength will be of paramount importance. By that point, we will know if the materials are up to task by means of other testing measures.
It is not difficult to see that all four of these major stages of preparation cannot be carried out without a considerable number of dependencies in place, such as: a sufficient level of personal strength training, endurance training, and expedition technique rehearsal; an understanding the best combination and quantities of provisions needed for a given expedition exercise; and the fabrication of working prototypes, which would then be followed by the prompt fabrication the production prototypes. In many cases there will need to be two working prototypes made for certain pieces of equipment. I also need basic personal training equipment. A few of these pieces will also need to be custom fabricated. At a minimum, most all of these things must be procured. Keep in mind that these are just a few highlights. The full list is much longer than this, and virtually everything must be custom made.

I think that by now you can see that this is not some whim that I cooked up a couple of months ago. I have been working very diligently on this for the last year. Certainly, you have begun to get a glimpse at how immense and complex of an operation it really is. Still, I have many things yet to show and reveal to you, and God has far far more in store for us beyond even those things.
“Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.”
Matthew 13:52 KJV
Love Always,
Dale 😊
