Sorry for the delay in updates! I was finally able to get most of the information updated, although I am missing observations for a lot of days. The Bible Studies have been a lot of work. If you have not yet listened to any of them, please take a moment and check out the most recent study: Bible Read & Study … especially Program 0003! I you have not listened to the third Bible Study, I urge you my friend … please listen to it: Program 003.
4/30/2020 … I’m still praying for you … more than ever!

After four weeks of fasting from food, I finally began eating on March the 23rd of 2021. The charts you see above include the fasting portion of my treatment for the fungal infection in my intestines. However, the tables below do not contain the data for the fasting portion of my fast. If you would like to see the detailed figures behind the fasting data in these charts, please refer to the previous post, “Dale’s Fast – Status.” For a background and an explanation of that fast read: “The Great Physician.”
The following table shows the aggregate values for the different indicators of the recovery portion of this healing process, beginning with my first meal following the fasting portion of the healing process. The counters are all pretty much the same as they were for the fasting portion of the process, with a few tweaks here and there. For background on this whole ordeal with my gastrointestinal issues, begin with the post, “Spilling my Guts.”
For more detailed information, simply click on the column heading descriptors which will take you to the detailed table from where the aggregate values are derived. (See the legend below.)

Legend
| Label | Description |
|---|---|
| Vigor (Click link for info) | This is the aggregate of six different indicators of vigor. On a scale of 0 to 9, the indicators are: Clarity of Mind, Mental Focus, Sleepiness, Energy, Stamina, and Attitude. “9” is best; “0” is worst. This is an indicator as to how well I am recovering and how well the Geotrichum candidum is being controlled/eliminated. |
| Vision (Click link for info) | The first value (in quotes) is my perception of my ability to focus my eyes throughout the day. Scale of 0 to 9. “9” is best; “0” is worst. The second value is the aggregate of measurements of my visual acuity at four different distances. This is an indicator as to how smoothly the recovery process and the healing of my gut is allowing my body to return functions back to normal. |
| Rest (Click link for info) | The first value is the number of hours of sleep for that day. The more sleep the better. The second value is the aggregate of two different sleep indicators (sleep quality and restfulness upon rising). Scale of 0 to 9. “9” is best; “0” is worst. This is another indicator as to how well my body is holding up during the recovery. |
| Gut Score (Click link for info) | This is an aggregate of eight different indicators of healing status of my intestines. On a scale of 0 to 9, the indicators are: Cecum Pain, Descending Colon Pain, Cecum Sensitivity, Descending Colon Sensitivity, Treatment Sensitivity, Food Sensitivity, Wound Healing Visual Indicator, and Localized Muscle Twitching. “0” is best; “9” is worst. This is the most important indicator. The goal is to reduce this indicator to zero. |
| Body Function (Click link for info) | During the fasting stage this was labeled Herx. Score and was the aggregate of eleven different indicators of symptoms caused by Herxheimer reaction. On a scale of 0 to 9. “0” being best; and “9” the worst. Now it really is more an indicator of my body function as I recover. I have removed three of the counters. With this this aggregated indicator I am now tracking the following eight indicators: Word Recall, Memory Recall, Confusion, Comprehension, Problem Solving, Dizziness, Edema, and Physical Fatigue. The Body Function is another important indicator. The goal is to reduce this indicator to zero. |
| Inflammation (Click link for info) | This is an aggregate of six different indicators of my body is responding to the recovery process. On a scale of 0 to 9, the indicators are: Joint Pain, Muscle Soreness, Migraine Precursors, “Migraines & Headaches,” Muscle Fatigue, and Back/Shoulder/Neck Stiffness. “0” is best; “9” is worst. Inflammation is also an important indicator. The goal is to reduce this indicator to zero, or very near to it. |
| pH | This is an indicator of the pH of the body. It is an average of numerous readings of urine pH taken throughout the day. The goal is to see this at a consistent pH or 7.0 |

| 19 | Sat, Apr 10, 2021 | The preparation of the Bible Studies have been all that I can possible handle. As you can see I have not been very much sleep. I am amazed that I was able to make through the week! Thank you Lord! Not only was I able to complete all the Bible studies this week, but God enabled me to do it without impacting my health or the progress with my gut. I have been experiencing slight improvement most every day. I think that I have finally figured out the pH balance problem. Taking an abundance of flax seed seems to have been a key component to the answer. I was extremely deficient on Omega 3 essential fatty acids. It seems to be helping with the edema, as well. I will have a better idea tomorrow about both the edema and the pH balance. I have been able to increase my consumption of coconut, and it does seem to be helping a little bit. The gut is feeling a little better, despite the fact that I am getting a few carbs in me each day. I am not eating as many carbs as I was last week, but I am certain eating more than I was a few months ago. Actually, I am probably eating more carbs now than I have in about five to eight years! Another Amen Lord! Now I just need to figure out how to streamline this Bible Study preparation a little better, so that I can squeeze in a bit of time for exercise. I need to increase my metabolize, so that I can increase my coconut intake. I am very anxious to see if the increase in coconut really does have an impact on my bodies ability to fight off the Geotrichum. Oh Lord! I pray, lead me and guide me in all understanding and truth and mercy, Father! I pray in Jesus name! |

| 13 | Sun, Apr 4, 2021 | Hopefully, I will get some notes and observations typed up some time today (4-6-21) |
| 12 | Sat, Apr 3, 2021 | ◦ I stayed up late again last night doing more research. (It is about the only time that I can do this sort of thing. I have been so completely absorbed with food preparation, as well as, the production of my “Bible Ark” Bible study program that I have no free time whatsoever.) Anyway, God gave me another revelation … actually it was somewhat of a remembrance and then a revelation. He brought to remembrance some important facts about tropical fats. In order to explain myself, I need to give a little bit of background on the topic first. ◦ Back before the turn of the 20th century (before the global shipping trade really began to take off) there was a very large population of Pacific islanders living in the world that lived on a staple of tropical fats (mostly coconut and palm kernel). These people were all very health people, even though 60% to 85% of their daily caloric intake was from the tropical fats that they consumed in the coconut and the palm kernel. Then what happened is that as the global shipping trade became more pervasive, the larger percentage of these Pacific islanders slowly began to adopt a western diet. They left their dietary roots and started eating many of the same foods that we eat in North America. ◦ As this trend continued, these people groups began to acquire the same degenerative diseases that we in America suffer from: heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, gout, atherosclerosis, obesity, hypertension, etc. It took medical science a long time to unravel this mystery, but there were a few pioneering doctors that started to figure it out in the 80’s and the 90’s. Of course, they figured out that the reason for their previous levels of excellent health could all be attributed to tropical fats. ◦ Fast forward thirty years, and now we find that there is no end to the keto diet craze nor products to aid the keto dieter in their quest for greater health. It is now a huge industry and it was all born out of the hard work that these few pioneering doctors of the 80’s and 90’s invested in trying to solve the riddle of the failing health of Pacific islanders. ◦ So why am I telling you all of this? Well, the revelation that God gave to me is that there is no reason why I should be suffering so much from acidosis. There are millions of people that have been living for centuries on diets that are rich in MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) and they never had problems with acidosis. Therefore, there must be something that I have been doing wrong to cause me to reach this state that I am in. Hence, I went back to my old collection of books on the topic and relearned a few facts that I had forgotten about. ◦ What I determined is that the reason why I have problems with acidosis is that I have been eating just a couple of very isolated components of coconut oil, which has been robbing me of the benefits of the whole coconut. I realized that I need to be eating the whole coconut. By not eating the whole coconut, I am missing out on the synergetic effect of many other important component of coconut oil and of the whole coconut. ◦ I will not even attempt to try to explain why the diets of these Pacific islanders, that consists of large percentages of coconuts, does not lead to acidosis. I simply do not understand the subject well enough to explain it. Truthfully, I am not sure that anyone understands it well enough to fully explain it. However, there is another very important side to this whole situation that I would like to explain. ◦ I few days ago, I was explaining how my body digests the MCT oils and how a percentage of those digested oils are converted to glycerol. Some that glycerol is made available inside the intestines and therefore becomes available to the Geotrichum as a source of nutrients. What I did not understand is that the reason why this is happening is that I am consuming isolated forms of MCT oils (specifically carbon chain 8 MCT oil, aka caprylic acid). Since I have been consuming this isolated form of caprylic acid, I have been missing out on a very important digestive feature that occurs when one eats the whole coconut. Without the lauric acid (the most prevalent component of coconut oil) there are far more free fatty acids and thus free glycerol molecules that are made available during the digestive process. Therefore, when we eat whole coconut oil the body is able to produce significantly more diglycerides (which are the forms of fatty acids that display the greater anti-microbial effects) and fewer free glycerol molecules are produced. It is a compound effect. The net affect is that whole coconut helps the body work harder at killing pathogenic organisms and it does a better job of minimizing nutrients that could otherwise be utilized by these pathogenic organisms. ◦ So … with all this information at hand, I got up this morning and went back to the natural food store and bought lots of fresh coconut products. I then incorporated those ingredients in my diet through out the day, and what a huge different it all made! The edema is better, the acidosis right about at the same level (despite the fact that I consumed far more fatty acids today), and most all of my indicators have improved today. ◦ Here is the truly amazing thing: This whole time I was under the assumption that God was going to deliver me from my gastrointestinal affliction through the fast itself, but that was never really the case. If that was to be the means, I would still be fasting and losing even more body mass. The fast was to get my body in the condition that it needed to be in for what is about to come next. What is that you ask? ◦ The next step is to consume coconut like a madman! The more coconut that I eat the harder it is going to work against the Geotrichum. This approach is completely contrary to anything that I had ever considered before. For years I have been doing nothing but to try to minimize the quantities of food that I eat. My experience had always been the more I eat the more it feeds the fungal infection, but with the coconut it is the other way around. The more coconut I eat the better. However, the only way that I can increase my coconut intake beyond what I consumed today is if I dramatically increase my metabolism. Therefore, I have to increase my physical activity. ◦ What God is telling me is that He wants me to get my butt in gear and to start working out and working out hard. He wants me to burn copious amounts of calories; He wants me to get myself in shape for this journey around the Globe, and He wants me to do it immediately! Then in the midst of the whole process of getting myself physically prepared for this conquest, the body will overrun the Geotrichum. How completely amazing and awesome is that?!! Bee, it is just as I explained to you in my most recent article, “Pure Love,” God really does want me to follow through with my errand. God has been prodding me, encouraging me, goading me, preparing me, and driving me every step of the way. I love you Jesus! You are incredible! |
| 11 | Fri, Apr 2, 2021 | All was better today … not in a huge way, but certainly better. Thanking and praising God! My intake of digestible carbohydrates was about half of what it was two days ago, and the gut is feeling significantly better. Moreover, the acidosis seemed to be better today, despite the fact that I have been cutting back on the carbs. Amen! I think a lot of it has to do with my intake of protein. It seems that the excessive protein that I have been consuming has been driving the acidosis, as well as the water retention. |
| 10 | Thu, Apr 1, 2021 | I only ate two meals today. I do not understand why I did not start doing that a couple of days ago. It was helpful in controlling the runaway Geotrichum a little better. The edema seemed like it was a tiny bit better, as well. The good thing is that acidosis seems to have subsided somewhat, and the pH level was up, as well. Amen for that! Hopefully, tomorrow I will see a bit more progress. |
| 9 | Wed, Mar 31, 2021 | I had a migraine for several hours earlier in the day (all morning and part of the afternoon). This is why my inflammation count is so high today. Things did go slightly better today, but not any truly significant improvement. The one thing that is very apparent to me now is that the gut is worse. The increase in carbohydrates is definitely feeding the Geotrichum, but what can I do? I have come to realize that my body is never going to be able to fight off the Geotrichum until I solve this acidosis problem. The acidosis problem is the greater priority at this point. Hopefully, I can be smart about things and keep the recolonization of the Geotrichum to a minimum while I am figuring out a solution to the acidosis. It is no wonder that my body has never been able to fight off this Geotrichum. I never realized how bad my acidosis problem was, nor how many years I have been dealing with it without the understanding of where all of those symptoms were coming from. I always thought that all of my symptoms were coming from the fungal infection. Now it is plain to see that they were not. I do not understand why none of my doctors were able to figure any of this out. Especially, any one of the many gastroenterologists that I have seen over the years. What is it that they teach these gastroenterologists? As a general rule they do not know anything at all about one of the most important parts of the intestines: the microbial flora. Now I see that they do not seem to know much about GERD, acidosis, and the myriads of problems that it is connect to. I just don’t understanding how this can be!! Clearly, our doctors are being taught by our pharmaceutical companies and not by doctors that really want to help patients find a true cure and the means assist the body heal these incredible bodies that God has blessed us with. The edema is still really bad, so I have started taking my weight in the morning instead of at night time. I get a much more accurate reading in the morning. It is still a high reading, but the edema is at it lowest in the morning when I get out of bed. Anyway, this is why my weight is lower for today. |
| 8 | Tue, Mar 30, 2021 | Everything went fairly well today … until the very end of the day. I had about 150 calories of good quality carbohydrates with each of my three meals, and it all seemed to go fairly well. In fact it seemed as if the edema was slightly improved. Thinking that I had been getting an ample supply of carbohydrates over the course of the whole day, I supposed that I could handle indulging in one of my keto snacks (a sugar free peanut butter cup). Wow! Was I ever wrong about that! My body did not like that, at all! It relapsed into ketosis within a few short minutes after eating the thing. Moreover, my gut has been irritated for few hours now and is still bothering me as I get ready to crawl into bed. It is amazing how difficult it is to increase the alkalinity of the human body, yet how easy it is to heighten the acidity. The shelves of our supermarkets and even our health food stores are loaded with packages of acid forming foods, but alkaline forming foods simply cannot be found in a package. One must buy the ingredients from the produce section and prepare them in one’s own kitchen. There is nothing easy about it. It takes work. I will have to me more careful tomorrow. |
| 7 | Mon, Mar 29, 2021 | I went to the natural food store this morning and found some better ingredients for my meals. (Here are some of the things I purchased: Sacha Inchi seeds, Sacha Inchi protein powder, some high fiber cacao nibs, and Spirulina powder (all of these are alkaline forming foods). I also sent out my first lab sample for testing the presence of Geotrichum in my system. Since I was running around all morning, I did not get a chance to have a proper meal. I just snacked on a few things. When I got back home I put together a quick and light meal with my new ingredients. It was certainly an improvement over what I have been doing, but it was not a game changer. I still had the same issues with the acid/alkaline balance and the metabolic acidosis. So …. I did some more reading about metabolic acidosis and ketoacidosis. I should have done this reading months ago! It was exactly what I needed to learn. I will spare you of all the details; however, this is what I surmised after contemplating the whole ball of wax for a while: What benefit is there is in eating all of these high- fat/high-protein foods that are practically devoid of carbohydrates? As soon as I start to digest them my body starts to freak out, because of my state of acidosis (which quite frankly is very bad). (I have no illusions about that.) The bottom line is that no matter what I do, I simply cannot prevent some substantial quantity of the glycerol from entering into my lower intestines. This is exactly what the human body is designed to do. The body prefers to digest fatty acids in the lower extremities of the intestines. On the other hand, the body prefers to digest carbohydrates in the upper regions of the intestines. Therefore, my thought was: either way, whether I eat fats or if I eat carbs, some percentage of the digesting food will make its way to the lower intestines and feed the Geotrichum. Hence, I thought that perhaps I could actually control the carbohydrates better than I could the glycerol from the fatty acid digestion. If I were to eat very high quality carbohydrates late in the meal, then perhaps they would be almost entirely digested by the time that they reached the lower intestines. It might actually work! So … I went back to the store and I bought some quinoa, some kale, some asparagus, and some figs. Again, these are all alkaline forming foods. When I got back home, I cooked up a decent little portion of carbohydrates (about 100 calories worth), and I tried it out. It seemed to work! I did not experience any signs whatsoever that it was feeding the Geotrichum! I was very encouraged! That begs the question then! Is there any Geotrichum at all? Maybe the Geotrichum has actually been completely eradicated from my gut, and all of the symptoms that I am experiencing are coming from the acidosis? I have no doubt that most of my current symptoms are coming from the acidosis, and it is all in an effort to avoid feeding any remnants of Geotrichum. Yet I for all I know, there is no more Geotrichum left over to have to worry about. Hopefully, I will get some answers back from the laboratory soon! I am praying Lord! Amen! BTW – the reason why the Inflammation reading is so high is that I had a bad headache this morning that very nearly turned into a migraine. |
| 6 | Sun, Mar 28, 2021 | Things started out fairly good this morning, but then they really took a turn for the worse earlier this evening. The apple cider vinegar (ACV) does appear to be helping to correct the pH balance, but I am not so sure that it is helping the healing process. The verdict is still out on that one. I tried cutting back on my probiotics today and while it did seem to help a little bit with the pH balance problem, it did not help with the healing of my gut. In fact, it lowered the defenses, at a time when I needed them most. For the last three days I have been making some very costly mistakes with the selection of some of the ingredients of my meals. I have been feeding myself with far too many MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides). The problem with foods that have an abundance of MCTs is that the MCT oils are digested by the body much too quickly. Every time I eat them there is a surge of glycerol that gets produced by my bodies digestion of the oils. Much of this process occurs in the blood stream, but a lot of the glycerol become available in the gut itself. Since the Geotrichum has nothing else to eat, it will happily feed on any glycerides that become available!! This i my main issue right now. I need a fat source that is not going to make such an abundance of glycerides available to the lower intestines. It is impossible to avoid this problem entirely, but I need to work very diligently to minimize the issue. The third problem that I have identified is that the cacao mass I have been adding into my diet, contains a significantly richer source of digestible carbohydrates that I supposed. I have been eating small pieces of 95%+ chocolate. Moreover, all of the low net-carb protein bars that I have been eating contain small quantities of cacao mass. Thus, I need to be more diligent to chose items that use cacao mass more sparingly than others. I am praising and thanking God that He has blessed me with understanding and the realization of how things took such an abrupt turn downward! At this point, there is no way to reverse the damage. The Geotrichum has begun to reestablish itself. Hopefully, if I make the corrections that I need to make, it will give my newly established intestinal flora what it needs to fight off the Geotrichum. Tomorrow, I will start the day with some colonic treatments, in a attempt to stave off the Geotrichum. I pray to my Lord and God that these things will all be enough to regain the upper hand on the Geotrichum and slowly root it all out. In Jesus name. Amen! Please pray for me prayer warriors. BTW – the weigh gain today can mostly be attributed to water retention from the increasing edema. |
| 5 | Sat, Mar 27, 2021 | Today was great in many different ways. There were improvements with just about everything. I was able to eat more calories than my body burned, and I was able to figure out a few things about my pH balance issue. The first thing that I learned was that I am able to use apple cider vinegar (ACV) to help correct the pH balance. I had forgotten that ACV could be used for that purpose. I never tried it before; because, I was afraid that there would be an adverse reaction with my fungal infection. However, I did some research today, and I was able to determine that ACV is nothing but a benefit for anyone suffering from a fungal infection. Therefore, I ran to the store and bought a bottle, and it does seem to be helping already. In my research on the topic, God blessed me with a revelation. I realized that the primary cause for my current and past pH balance issues is the fact that I consume very high levels of probiotics. I have observed the behavior of probiotic growth in the ferments that I have been growing in my kitchen for many years now. It is amazing how when the probiotic grains are really thriving they can very thoroughly acidify a jar of milk or sugar water in less than a day. Therefore, I have to keep removing probiotic grains with each harvest. Otherwise, it will grow too fast. So! Tomorrow, I am going to start cutting back on the probiotics and see how that affect my ability to maintain a more sane body pH. Thank you God for that important understanding! Amen! |
| 4 | Fri, Mar 26, 2021 | Again, not a lot of sleep, but I still feel good. I had another great day of progress; however, the gut was not quite as complacent as I hoped it would be. Nevertheless, it is still doing quite well. The problem that I continue to have is the pH balance. It is very difficult to get enough calories in my body without increasing the available carbohydrates for any would-be Geotrichum remnants, and it is difficult to get enough calories in me to even maintain my weight to do the same. In fact, today was the first day that I managed to achieve a balance of daily caloric need and food intake. Up until today, I actually have not gained any true weight. I have simply just been fulling up my gut with food and the edema has caused me to retain more water. Regardless, I am feeling better; I have more every; and the gut seems to be doing well. Amen! Thank you Lord Jesus! |
| 3 | Thu, Mar 25, 2021 | Despite the fact that I did not get a lot of sleep, I woke up feeling quite well! More importantly, the gut felt good! And it has continued to feel good throughout the day, with the exception of when I had my first true bowel movement following the fast. However, the irritation was fairly mild, and it was over in a manner of about 40 minutes. The material was as ideal as it could possibly be. Moreover, there was absolutely no sign of exudation or fibrous tissue release. Virtually everything else was improved, as well! I am so encouraged! I am praising God! Praising my Savior Jesus Christ! Everything is going very well! |
| 2 | Wed, Mar 24, 2021 | I slept really well, and it is a good thing; because, it was a very long day! Fortunately, I was able to get three good meals in today. I did have some more ear blockage in the morning, but that was it. Amen! The meals are taking a tremendously long time in which to procure the ingredients, prepare, and to consume. At this point, the primary focus of each meal is to build up and strengthen my intestinal flora. Since I have been fasting for four weeks, my intestinal has been diminished substantially. Although, I have taken proper measures during the fast to minimize that situation, the fact that I have not been able to feed my intestinal flora means that I lost quite a bit. Now it must be built back up, and I need to do it in a way that will not feed the Geotrichum. Which is very difficult to do, but not impossible. Therefore, with each meal that I prepare and eat, I must do the best I can to feed the beneficial bacteria, but not the Geotrichum. Thus, with this being the primary focus, I have been very successful so far! Praising God for all the leading and direction! So far there has been no signs of a resurgence of the Geotrichum. During and following my second meal my gut was a bit irritated; however, that all subsided with my third and last meal of the day, which I finished eating at 1:00am! I had a lot of things to do after that, so it is nearly 5:00am now as I get into bed. Nonetheless, everything went very well! I really did experience a lot of improvement today! All praise and glory to my Lord Jesus! It may take a couple more days before I really notice any significant healing in my gut. There is a whole lot of turmoil in there right now, as all the newly introduced probiotics get stabilized and recolonized. The good thing is that I can feel them all at work in there. It is a discernibly different feeling than when the Geotrichum is boiling, so I am very very happy about that!!!! You see that my weight is up by four pounds in one day. I did not have a bowel movement today, so I have yet to have any new material come out yet. The gut is filling up. Also, I do have a little edema right now. Not much, just barely enough to cause me to mark it as a two, which is amazing! … all things considered. |
| 1 | Tue, Mar 23, 2021 | After going for 4 straight weeks (minus a few short hours, 27 days and 21 hours) without food, I began eating again today. Everything went a little better this morning than yesterday morning. After nearly 28 straight days without food, I had my first meal at about 1:00pm this afternoon. I weighed myself just prior to my first meal, and I tipped the scales at a very slight 126 lbs. Then I had a second meal in the late afternoon. As one might imagine, these meals were quite a shock to my system, but all in all they both went very well. They were both very high in fiber (lots of alfalfa sprouts with a mix of other leafy sprouts, microgreens, and cilantro). Along with the sprout salad, I ate a nice helping of shrimp and extra lean turkey breast. I had a little bit of venison jerky (no sugar or vinegar added) and a half a tablespoon of Udo’s oil (a balanced blend of Omega 3’s, 6’s, and 9′). Added to the second meal, I made a smoothie with whey protein isolate, collagen, a touch of hemp protein, another half tablespoon of Udo’s oil and a half tablespoon of Caprylic acid (C8 isolated MCT oil, i.e. Bulletproof brand MCT oil). Both meals went very well. Better than I could have hoped for! Amen! Hallelujah! All thanks and glory to my great God and Savior Jesus Christ! They only real issue was this deal with my ears getting plugged up again for a while following my last meal (about an hour afterwards). I am sure that it is tied to the inflammation response of my body when my pH drops too much. |
